![]() With evidence growing that training the mind or inducing specific modes of consciousness can have beneficial health effects, scientists have sought to understand how these practices physically affect the body. A new study by researchers in Wisconsin, Spain, and France reports the first evidence of specific molecular changes in the body following a period of intensive mindfulness practice. The study investigated the effects of a day of intensive mindfulness practice in a group of experienced meditators, compared to a group of untrained control subjects who engaged in quiet non-meditative activities. ![]() Participating in an 8-week mindfulness meditation program appears to make measurable changes in brain regions associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress. In a study that will appear in the January 30 issue of Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, a team led by Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) researchers report the results of their study, the first to document meditation-produced changes over time in the brain’s grey matter. But usually, as I close my eyes and focus on my breathing, while I know that I’m supposed to be letting all thoughts go, more and more fly through my mind. Soon I have a laundry-list of “to-dos” in my head … and then my legs fall asleep. It’s all downhill from there. This TED Talk, however, might actually convince me to give meditation another shot. As a skeptic herself, Dr. Lissa Rankin makes an irrefutable case, documenting with cold, hard science that the medical establishment has been proving that the mind can heal the body for over 50 years. Mind Over Matter: Princeton & Russian Scientist Reveal The Secrets of Human Aura & Intentions1/18/2015 ![]() A Russian scientist has been studying the human energy field and is claiming that people can change the world simply by using their own energy. While this idea is not new, not too many have taken the time to scientifically go about proving such ideas -although the field of quantum physics has shed some powerful light on the topic over the years. Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, professor of physics at St. Petersburg State Technical University, states that when we think positive and negative thoughts, each have a different impact on our surrounding environment. Nothing is solid. This is the world of Quantum Physics. They have proven that thoughts are what put together and hold together this ever-changing energy field into the ‘objects’ that we see. So why do we see a person instead of a flashing cluster of energy? Think of a movie reel. Many of us have even tried to use it by thinking positively or creating “vision boards.” Too often, we don’t see results, quit and log it away somewhere in the subconscious mind. Unfortunately, many of us don’t realize that we’ve left out a key component. Something vital to our success in using the Law of Attraction (LOA). Want to know what it is? Here’s a hint: it’s actually hidden in the word attraction. Read More... ![]() The Buddha famously said that the cause of suffering (dukkha) is clinging. In fact, it is the second of his Four Noble Truths. For most people this idea speaks to the things in our lives that we like and want to hold onto, and the things we do not like and we want to make go away. While there is truth in this view, it is nonetheless one step removed from the deeper truth that most fail to see. The attempt to identify everything that I like or don’t like and what I am holding onto or pushing away is difficult because there are so many. Yet that is how most of us begin our journey toward greater awareness. We attempt to pay attention to everything we are clinging to and try to be better at letting them go, and we pay attention to those things we dislike and try to be better at accepting them. Affirmations or the process of repeating positive words can boost your spirit to new levels. We must translate our thoughts into words and eventually into intention in order to manifest what we want in our reality. Affirmations are proven methods of self-improvement because of their ability to rewire our brains and have the power to change people’s lives. Science also says that positive self-talk definitely brings about changes in the brain. Here are 10 powerful affirmations that can change your life. This subtle and pervasive energy is said to be the vital building block of all matter and creation, both physical and non-physical. This energy flows in, through, and around the body, forming vibrant and cohesive living systems in endless forms. Many traditions believe that a steady supply of chi is necessary to sustain all living beings. By understanding the rhythm, flow, and the qualities of life force energy, a wide variety of exercises and healing practices have been developed over time to improve health, vitality, and longevity. If you set an intention to clear old patterns, people, and things in your life while chanting this meditation for 11 minutes each day, you will start noticing things that no longer serve you, so that you can clear them from your life to make room for things that serve your higher self. To do the meditation, chant along with the recording, and as you sit on the floor, with each line "wahe guru.. etc.." move your hands and arms in a motion as if you are grabbing water from the earth and pouring it over the arc line or halo of your head. Do the motion for each line--so, as you say "wahe guru, wahe guru, wahe guru, wahe jio" you will do it four times. Splashing the imaginary "water" over the arc line of your head is especially helpful for clearing the energy of old attachments, such as the karma of old lovers. It might help to write down a clear intention around the theme of cleansing. Beware! You will notice things in your life start to shift, and that which does not serve you will rise to your conscious awareness so that you can clear it. You might even notice these things trying one last gasp to hold on to you, but keep doing the meditation, and they will clear. Here is the recording... ![]() You can physically change your brain through Yoga and Meditation. Science has found Neurobiological evidence to support what meditation experts have been claiming for years; That people are healthier and happier when they meditate. “Neuroscientist Sara Lazar’s amazing brain scans show meditation can actually change the size of key regions of our brain, improving our memory and making us more empathetic, compassionate, and resilient under stress.” Read More... ![]() Lucid dreaming is one category of dreams that many people experience. It occurs when the individual is dreaming and during that dream the individual is completely aware that they are dreaming. Some people report a low-level lucidity state where one is aware they are dreaming but not able to alter the content of the dream. Other people have experienced high-level lucidity where one is aware they are dreaming but are also able to alter the dream, and have the freedom to do whatever they desire within the dream. Numerous scientific studies have proven that our consciousness is directly correlated to it, and through our consciousness, we can directly influence our physical world in more ways than one. One example of this is how the mind has a capacity to influence the output of devices known as Random Event Generators. Another example are the multitude of declassified papers that deal with ‘paraphsychological’ phenomenon. For example, government experiments revealed human beings are capable of bending physical material objects with their minds. Read more... |
